Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of ScanSteer, a service of Magill Digital, LLC (“ScanSteer,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

ScanSteer provides hosted short links, QR-code files, redirect rules, analytics, team access, and related account tools. We may improve or change features as the service develops, but we will not deliberately convert a paid term into a materially smaller service without notice.

2. Your account

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials, and activity under your account. You may use ScanSteer only for destinations and content you have the right to publish or promote.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use ScanSteer for phishing, malware, credential theft, unlawful goods or services, harassment, impersonation, deceptive redirects, evasion of platform enforcement, or content that violates applicable law. We may pause a QR code or account when reasonably necessary to protect visitors, the service, or others.

4. Subscriptions

Paid plans are sold through Link using Stripe Managed Payments, with Link acting as merchant of record. Plans are billed annually and renew until canceled. Current pricing and included limits appear on the Pricing page. Subscription changes made through the Stripe Customer Portal follow the timing shown there. Payment-related support and refund requests may also be handled by Link under its applicable policies. Except where law requires or the merchant of record determines otherwise, fees already paid are nonrefundable.

5. Cancellation and inactive QR codes

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid term. The account’s original free QR code remains eligible for free service. Additional paid QR codes may pause when paid access ends and reactivate if the account resubscribes, subject to these Terms.

6. Availability and destinations

We work to keep redirects reliable, but no internet service is uninterrupted. We are not responsible for the availability, security, accuracy, or conduct of third-party destination sites. You should keep important destination content and printed source files under your own control.

7. Ownership

You retain ownership of your names, destinations, QR designs, and account content. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, route, process, secure, and display that content as part of the service. ScanSteer’s software, branding, and product materials remain ours.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScanSteer is provided “as is.” Magill Digital, LLC is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our total liability related to the service will not exceed the fees you paid for ScanSteer during the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the effective date. Material changes will receive reasonable notice when practical. Questions may be sent to support@scansteer.com.
